The Haunted Mansion is one of my all time favorite attractions, loved it as kid, and still love it today. I especially like going to the Haunted Mansion this time of year to get in the mood for Fall and Halloween. So, I decided to do a series of quick sketches of characters from the Haunted Mansion to kick off the season. It seemed appropriate to start with the Caretaker. Stay tuned to see who’s next…
Really excited about these, plus they look so awesome. This is do mostly to my wife, who goes by Threehaus design studio, and is an amazing designer. The two of us decided to work together on these prints and concepted a new series called Ohno Vroom, based on the idea of him being a race car driver. Susana’s grandfather raced cars back in the day in Venezuela and that helped inspire the idea. Ohno is also based on my son, who when he was around one years old would take stuff around the house and smash it to the floor, breaking said item, and then turn to us and say “Oh NO”, as if this was some sort of accident he had no control over. My younger son and I went to Magic Kingdom yesterday and saw Country Bear Jamboree again, so I decided to do some quick sketches. I used to love going to see this show as a kid when we visited Walt Disney World on vacation every couple of years.
