Mickey’s Joy Ride

JoyRide860

SOLD. Acrylic on Birch wood 36″ x 48″  debuted at D-Street, Downtown Disney in Orlando.

I grew up reading CARtoons and Mad magazines and they had these great illustrations in it by folks like Ed “Big Daddy” Roth and others, and I couldn’t wait until the next issue would come out to see more. There is definitely a nod to those inspirations in this piece (although maybe in a simpler style). Here we catch up with Mickey flooring it through the countryside in “Mickey’s Joy Ride”. Enjoy!

MickeycreamMickeycreamdetailMickeycream2

I was contacted by Thank You Walt Disney to donate a piece for the Animation & Imagination Show benefiting the preservation and restoration of Walt Disney’s original Laugh-o-gram Studio in Kansas City. Of course, I was very excited to be a part of this great event and help out with something so important -so I said ok! For more info on the show or to purchase this piece check out: http://www.thankyouwaltdisney.org/?page_id=26
